If user limit for file size is lower than size of sequential file, then you will need to increase this value. After running the job, check the detailed job log which should now show user limits. On the job properties General tab, define an ExecSh command with value "ulimit -a". To check user limits at job run time, modify failing job (or any sample job) to include a pre-job batch command. Check user limits for file size at job run time (it is not sufficient to run "ulimit -a" at Unix command prompt as the value may change during DataStage startup.Verify that userid has sufficient permission to write to target directory for the sequential file stage. If the failure occurs for all files, not just large files, then view full-detail job log and determine what userid ran the job. ![]() The "ds_seqput" write error occurs when DataStage is unable to write file to target location.
